Quit working after a few months
I called the manufacturer and they said when you get an E1 err on the dash, the machine quits working. They sent me a new dashboard in about a week. I plugged it in and got the same err. I called them again and was told if the new dash didn’t fix the problem, the motor needed to be replaced. They said they would send out a new motor with directions on how to replace. After waiting a week, I called to inquire. They said they had processed my order but never sent the part. They said “sorry”, they’d send it right away. Still waiting.Edit review

Great machine
Just got this and have only used it for two days but already love it. Works very smoothly and is whisper quiet. No problem listening to music or talking to my wife.Word of warning about delivery and assembly. It was delivered in one large box on a pallet. Weighs about 200 lbs and a forklift put it in my garage. I was able to unbox it and carry it to my basement piece by piece. Most of the pieces were small enough not to be a problem, but the main frame assembly was still about 5 feet long and 80-90 lbs. I was able to load it on a hand truck and get it down the outside steps. Once downstairs the assembly was straight forward and took about 2 hours.I would definitely recommend this equipment, but probably get some help for the assembly.

Serious problems with this purchase
Loud clacking noise from rear of machine since January 2019. Purchased as a Christmas gift. Assembled by Amazon Assembly as part of purchase price. Manufacturer has failed to respond to my repeated calls and emails. As of June 2019 still making the loud noise evidenced on my video.

Nice machine
Easy on your knees. Great exercise machine for an indoor workout.

Seat too tall.
Like it once I am on,however it is too tall for me to be able to get on and off by myself.Wish the seat was bigger as I don’t always feel comfortable/very safe when sitting on it. Do like the ability of being able to move my feet and legs as I have very little sensation in them.

Padded seat
Wish there was another more padded seat one could purchase for this.

Seat firmness and exercise pressure from that ruins a good workout
Before you commit to purchase, please think about the things I did not. Make no assumptions about each model. The seat on the CS3.1 is hard and the back is not adjustable up and down. That means if you try and cushion the seat, the back doesn’t accommodate that, or that if you are long/short waisted it cannot accommodate. Biggest complaint, pain in the rear…you continually slide forward due to poor seat angle and have to reseat. After my purchase, I realized that a seat should contour to your rear end and it does not. So, if you think you can sit and cycle for an hour, no way. I called Inspire and was advised to purchase a cushion from Amazon which I did. When I tried that and it didn’t work, I tried bike pants and other cushions, even double. It did not work. I talked to them again and they told me to have a custom seat made. Really??? I wrote the president a letter and asked about testing for ergonomics. I got no answer, so likely the answer is no. I am physically fit and a senior but I don’t think that makes a difference with this machine. It is just downright uncomfortable. The electronic panel is base in terms of offered programs, settings and memory. It drops speed while striding so I am having a replacement. For the price paid, you are not getting what you think. So disappointed. Max time for me is 30 min before real pain settles in. Idea for this is great. Many changes need to be made starting with a seat. I was told there were no plans to upgrade the seat. I cannot recommend.

Poor design for seat and back rest
I bought mine in a local store and even though it’s a great machine, after a half hour and definitely after an hour my sacral area is in pain after I step off the machine. The pain goes away fairly quickly but then the area is sore for the rest of the day. The sacral area is associated with the empty space between the seat and the back rest. I think this machine would function better with a reclining bike-type seat made out of a mesh material that cradles your butt, lower back and back. Poor design for an expensive piece of machinery.
