Life Extension is one of the top names in the supplement game. This particular supplement combines very useful herbs and vitamins for maintaining proper estrogen levels. The pills are easy to swallow and don’t taste bad at all. I’d highly recommend considering this product if you are looking for something to help with estrogen.

I was super excited when I got the chance to try these Life Extension Estrogen Balance Elite Menopause Support supplements. I have been familiar with this brand for many years but have never had the chance to try anything made by them.After taking the recommended daily serving size of 2 of these supplements a day over a five day period I had to stop taking them. I felt unwell, however, I don’t know if that feeling was caused by these supplements or by an outside illness. What I do know is that I had some very odd symptoms.During the time that I took these supplements I suffered from symptoms of illness. I didn’t take note of when that illness began but I certainly noticed that I was ill during the last three of the five days that I took this supplement.My first odd symptom, I think, was an increased sense of smell. I was trying a new hair conditioner and the scent was so strong that I almost passed out in the shower. That has never happened to me before. My second odd symptom was that I woke up the last three mornings that I took these supplements and found that my bedsheets were dampened by sweat. Each of those three mornings I wondered if I might have the cancer called lymphoma. I know that the symptom for that is waking up with drenched bedsheets but luckily mine were only slightly dampened.The third and final symptom that caused me to set these supplements to one side and stop taking them was the pain that I felt in my hip, knee, and, ankles. It was quite severe on day 3. Again, I am familiar with aches and pain caused by cold and flu but this pain in my joints was close to being unbearable.The next day, after stopping these supplements, I experienced no further symptoms. I assume that I am allergic to something in their formula.I have self-diagnosed myself as being allergic to walnuts because whenever I eat them after a few hours my digestive tract starts to writhe in pain.When I first opened these supplements I thought that they smelled very strongly of walnuts. When I checked the label I saw no mention made of walnuts being included in the formula. Because of that I decided to go and ask the internet about the main ingredient in these supplements, fenugreek. Apparently fenugreek smells like maple to many people. Fenugreek is a legume and some people with nut allergies may also be allergic to legumes like fenugreek.Though I cannot continue to take these supplements myself, and I would caution anyone with nut allergies about taking them, I will give them four stars. I am doing that because for one, I have faith in the brand, and for two, I like the shape and feel of these tablets much more than I like the shape and feel of capsules.
