Excellent Design: Happy with Durability
This is an update to my earlier review: this sock aid is the second one Iâve ordered…the first was about four years ago.Things I like: the terry cloth layer that grips the sock as I pull it on; the three-pronged construction that makes it easier to accommodate my wide foot (and can also help me take off the sock): the fabric ties with loops that make it easy to pull on the sock.I was initially not sure about the durability of this aid: on the first one I bought, the terry cloth separated from the plastic and one of the ties started to pull away. However, I found it useful so I decided to try it again. Iâm glad I did.I just had knee replacement surgery and had to wear long compression stockings for a couple of weeks. The aid worked just fine to put them on. It requires using some careâyou canât just yank on the ties and expect good results. But if you donât get in a hurry, the aid works really well.

Work great, easy to use!
I had a different kind from parents use in past, didnât keep sock on, was all plastic. With this one, the terry cloth keeps sock on, the straps are long & with loops, so easy to use. I even use it while standing! Love it! Folds up to get into the sock so nicely. Highly recommend!

A great aid in putting compression socks, use gently. Good for larger calves
A family member works in medicine and forever on the feet. Compression socks were a huge help but it was always dreaded putting them on. They are so tight that it is a real challenge to get them on, particularly if the calves are larger, definitely an issue with some big men or athletic types. This worked to make the process a little less painful and challenging. The only warning is that the plastic is not super heavy duty so handle this with a little care. The design allows for larger legs so more people may want to look at this one if that is a concern. A favorite Christmas present!

Good buy for short term or occasional use
This product is adequate for my recovery from hip surgery which is expected to take less than three months. It is purely an unglamorous functional tool to get the sock on the operative foot without bending the leg. The plastic component inside the cover is flexible yet sturdy enough to do the job and would probably long outlast the cover. After one monthâs use the terry covering is showing signs of wear. The price is okay for this product and my use. But if I had a disability the required long-term use of a sock puller I would luck for a more durable product at one with a replaceable cover.I am only using out with medium weight athletic socks. I question whether it would damage lighter weight socks or womenâs stockings. The product does not come with any instructions. That may sound silly but this was my first time ever using anything but my own hands to get clothes on. I relied extensively on the images on the Amazon product page for this and similar sock pullers. Without those resources I cannot say for sure that I wouldâve figured it out. A simple cheat sheet showing 1) how to put the sock on the puller, 2) positioning the foot in the puller with the sock, 3) how to use the straps to maneuver the puller around the heel and up the leg. For those of us who are rocket scientists, simple mechanics can be challenging.

A Miracle Solution!
The flexible sock aid is an amazingly simple solution to a miserably painful problem. I suffer with arthritis. I never knew how traumatic putting on a sock could be. Itâs an awful way to start your day. This sock aid has been a miracle solution and has made this once painful task a thing of the past! The flexibility makes putting on any type of sock a breeze! I am so thrilled I found this product. And it arrived so fast which was another wonderful surprise. It was also nice to receive an email from the vendor following up to see if the product met my needs. I cannot say enough about this product and this purchase experience. I am beyond satisfied!

Cheaply made
Did not last a week not worth the effort or the wait time?

Only lasted 11 months
This sock aid is very easy to use as the “fingers” can be bent inward to accommodate the sock. And the fabric cover feels good on your bare foot. However, it only lasted 11 months. One of the straps/handles ripped clear off the aid cover. It had been popping stitches for some months now. For the price, I guess I got my money’s worth.

The product worked exactly as you would expect. It wouldâve been helpful if the cables Weâre a bit longer it wouldâve made it easier to pull the sock on

I ordered this for an older relative. One of the straps came off in less than 2 months. The fabric covering the aid is very thin and easily frayed so the strap could not be reattached.
