Shiny hair AND pain relief?
If someone had told me that my hair would be shiny if I took one scoop a day, I likely would not have believed them.I have learned to have an open mind but benefits from these types of things are subjective. You could say that the power of suggestion could be at work, and if that’s the case, I will take it!In 2015, I read about collagen and the big debate as to whether it was a “thing” that worked, but I thought, what the heck and tried it. I didn’t feel that it did anything special for me, so I didn’t purchase another canister for a few years. Fast forward to 2019, my husband (who is 49 years old and installs elevators) was complaining of some joint pain, like knee and wrist pain, so aside from the turmeric he was taking, I began to look for other supplements. I tried a couple of brands and kept asking him if the collagen was helping him and his answer was always “I don’t know”.Keeping a log vs. “mental notes”See, that’s the thing with these products. If you can’t answer the question, you will assume the product does nothing. However, if you keep a log (as opposed to a mental “note”) of pain, you may have a different answer. Later I thought, well, heck, if he doesn’t know the difference, then why spend money on the expensive one?! That’s why I got this one to be honest – it was a better deal. Later, he wanted to try a collagen product with turmeric and cinnamon flavored, so I ended up trying this one by default so as to not throw it out. I truly wasn’t prepared for the results.Shiny hair? Huh?!I was taking another brand and totally felt like my knee had less pain, as did my right wrist which has had tendonitis since the early 90s from being a server in a restaurant and carrying really heavy plates with one hand. While taking this brand of collagen, I noticed something I had not seen in years – shiny hair!!! Ladies, you know that if you color your hair, the hair color can strip the natural oils. I use both 30 and 40 volume hydrogen peroxide to maintain my level 10 blonde, and I also use Redken blue shampoo to cut the brassiness, which can absolutely make the hair look drab.It’s not the tanning bed via vitamin D!I couldn’t believe I had shiny hair! Even my husband commented on how shiny my hair was! Even the blue/purple shampoos cannot dull my hair! Just to test, I finished up the jar of Schwarz Collagen and returned to the other one since I still had half a container, and my shiny hair disappeared after only a few days. Once I finished that jar from the other brand, I returned to this one and my shiny hair was back in about 3 days or so (I truly didn’t count). The gal at the tanning salon I go to believes it is her “medical grade derma bed” that is making my hair shiny via vitamin D.Nope. It’s this product.Sometimes the only way to see if a product is working is to take it for 1-2 months, then switch brands for the same amount of time and observe. For anyone who says “it didn’t do anything for me” probably didn’t need the collagen, or they truly aren’t paying attention to what the body is saying. I would still say results are subjective unless they are results you can truly SEE, but isn’t all pain “subjective” in a sense? I mean, we all have different tolerances of pain, after all. Some pain you just get used to, but if you know that you have tendonitis in a joint and then suddenly one day you realize you can twist a sealed lid from a jar, it might just be that supplement you added to your routine.I hope this review helps you make a purchase decision. 😀 Cheers!

Some Pain Relief, but to soon to tell!! FollowUP, about 2weeks later!!!
It’s very easy to disolve in my coffee!! There’s no aftertaste!!! And when I just wanted water, I heated a little water, put in the collagen, which disolved quickly, added rest of water with ice!! I do notice a little pain relief, but it’s still early. Even a little relief is better than none!! It’s a good product, and I’ll report back in about 2wks, and hopefully I’ll have good news!! Well, it’s just been about 2weeks since my first review, and I can now say, with certainty, that I definitely see an improvement in joint health!!! I have very advanced osteoarthritis. The worst of my pain is in my back. I’ve had 2 total hip replacements, 1 total knee replacement, done in 1999. I somehow got an infection in that replacement, and had to have a revision of that knee. The infection had also traveled to my back. I was in the hospital for a month, and then to rehab for a little over a month, all the while without a knee. They put in what they call a spacer. A new knee was put in about 8months later. All the time before I couldn’t walk, so I was in a wheelchair. The pain in my back was terrible. I’ve been on tramadol with moderate relief. I also had total replacements of both shoulders. My right shoulder had dislocated, so back into surgery for a reverse shoulder replacement. So when I can see pain relief, I know what I’m talking about. The most relief for me has been in my back. I know it’s only been a few weeks, but it’s been the most consistant pain relief I’ve had so far. I even tried CBD with no effect. I did try another collogen product, but it peaked, and that was it. My left knee is now bon on bone, so I know where that’s headed. So I will continue to take this product, and pray that the success I’m experiencing continue. I just had surgery on July 15th. This is the 20th, and my daughter came over today, and said you look great. Now this surgery was totally not related to my arthritis. You’re walking much straighter, she commented. I know I said, my back feels pretty good. Then she saw the collogen on my kitchen table. Is it helping you, she asked me. Well you tell me. You think I’m walking better, and I am. So we’ll see. Sorry, I really didn’t mean to write a book, but I am so happy about this. I should say that I’m 77yrs old, and my arthritis started when I was 26yrs old, so I’ve lived with pain a lot of yrs. So you can hopefully see why I’m excited. Now I’m not expecting miracles, but this is the best pain relief I’ve had in the last 2weeks, than in years. Yes, I’ve had relief being on opioids, but I don’t want to become dependent on them. Also, my nails are growing and are stronger, and my hair seems to have thickened a bit!!!! I’ll let you all know in about a month, how I’m doing. In the meantime, if any of you all are having any issues with pain or your hair and nails, I strongly recommend giving this a try. You have nothing to lose but some joint pain!!! Talk to you all soon!!

Appears to have quality ingredients inside from the research I’ve done on it. I put it into my smoothies. Hopefully it’s due and everything. It says it can do. After all that, that’s why I bought it.
