relaxing
These aromatherapy magnesium flakes have an amazing, calming, botanical, herbal fragrance. It linger in my bathroom and even on my skin for a while after my bath. The flakes dissolve in bath water nicely, and leave my skin feeling soft and smooth.

Fragrance oils overpowers the essential oils
I was excited about these magnesium flakes, but I canât continue using them because of the fragrance oils. Iâm highly sensitive to chemical fragrances & whatever ones that were added to these flakes overpower the natural ylang-ylang, tangerine & lavender essential oils (that likely wouldâve been nice enough on their own). Everything else seems fine & for some weird reason, I like that these are flakes instead of salts. The scent is just a bit much for my sensitive nose.

Not as expected
This magnesium bath salt soak is not what I expected. The instructions say to use 1-2 cups and there’s less than 2 cups in the container. The fragrance listed on the jar is not what it smells like either. The odor is much more medicinal than floral. The image in the listing shows a beige product but in person it’s a lot closer to a dirty grey color. I’m confused as this was not what I expected in any way and certainly not a high end product. I will not be using the bath soak as I am concerned that the product delivered is old or stale or just not right when comparing it to the listing. I do like the idea of the product though and think that if it was closer to the description that I would have loved it.

Heavenly!
I love the subtle natural floral/herbal scent of these magnesium bath salts. They help keep my skin moisturized while taking baths during the cold winter in the Northeast. The jar also looks nice displayed on my bathtub tray. The directions say to ‘add a cup of two’ (assuming they mean a cup or two) to the warm bath; however, the jar is only 14oz, so using a cup would not even give you 2 baths worth…so I took off one star.

subtly-scented, relaxing and beneficial bath salts that even look attractive on your shelf
This little jar takes beneficial magnesium flakes and makes them pretty and fun to use. The scent, to me, is natural and subtle, not overpowering or something that makes me want to escape the bath due to overstimulation. I felt relaxed and refreshed with soft skin after stepping out of the bath. The jar even looks good on my shelf, adding to the “spa” decor rather than needing to be hidden.

Different than pictured, but okayish
The product photos look almost like shaved coconut, but the product that arrived was…different. It’s big flecks covered a in a sort of weird grey-greenish powder that almost looks like fish food. The smell is…okay. It’s sort of reminiscent of a lavender-citrus spa scent. Honestly I’d probably like this product if the photos had been accurate, but it REALLY threw me off taking it out of the box and seeing this fish-food-bath-salts when I wasn’t prepared for it.There is also a grammatical error in the first sentence of the directions on the jar, instructing you to “add a cup of two to a warm bath.” Yes, add a cup OF two. Which, grammatical errors aside, means you’ll be lucky to get 2 uses out of the entire jar. That’s $12 a bath, and at that price point I’d be getting myself some fancy glitter bath bombs, not murky green powdered flakes.

What did I receive?
The photos of the magnesium bath soak show a creamy white colour with some light tannish areas. The product I received was grey. It looked like the flakes had been coated with grey dust and dirt. I am not certain what it smells like – perhaps some faint eucalyptus with floral, but it definitely doesn ot smell like ylang ylang, lavender, and mandrain orange. I am loathe to get in a bath with this, because really I don’t know what I received. My advice? Skip the over-priced questionable bath.
