    Better than a meditation app
    I am halfway through the 4 weeks, and loving this book. The introduction is a great primer. Sharp’s tone is peaceful, inviting, and even kindof fun?! For me, picking up this book has become a cue to drop into my practice. I find her words echoing in my head even on days when I don’t read from the book.The book itself has lovely coloration and illustration. It’s a perfect size to take to the park, wait in line for the grocery store, or pickup in the loo. :)I have tried a lot of meditation apps, but at the end of the day, you’re still staring at your phone while you use those. The experience of the physical product, and the guidance or her easy words, make this a really special lil book. Can’t wait for her to write more & can’t wait to gift this to everyone for Hannukah!

    Great resource book for developing a practice of mindfulness for dealing with everyday life
    Great resource book for both total newbies and experienced practitioners in developing a practice of mindfulness. I will be sending this book as presents to many of my family and friends. Ashley has provided the reader with a variety of mindful exercises that are helpful in every part of our lives: home, work and our outside environment. In each exercise, Ashley has provided the reader with possible challenges and a way to modify the exercise to meet the reader’s needs. Thank you Ashley for writing a book that gives us tools to be more self-compassionate, resilient and kind to others. Mindfulness for Beginners is a timely book during a time where many of us are feeling hopeless, anxious and unempowered.

    An Easy Way to Begin and Follow Through
    Until now I thought I was the most difficult mindful meditation student on the planet. Since picking up Ashley Sharp’s book, I am calmer, know what to do when I’m not at peace, and am able to course-correct myself.What makes this book great for me, is the ease with which Sharp gets you started. That has always been the sticking point for me, and it’s no longer an issue. Sharp gets that we are not all so immersed in mindfulness as she is, and she makes it easy and fun to get going.     Great for beginners!
    I really liked that this was broken down into daily exercises. I did some better than others. But I intend to revisit this book a couple times a year. The goal is the book is to help the reader practice mindfulness and to that end, I do think I’m at least 10% more mindful than I typically am. I get very distracted, so this isn’t an indictment of the author. I enjoyed the book, the exercises and the quotes. I will read again.

    Lovely. Wonderfully practical and a delight to read.
    Ashley is a wonderful writer – practical, straightforward and entertaining. She is gifted in simplifying and demystifying concepts that can lead anyone – regardless of their beliefs – toward greater harmony with themselves and the world around them. For anyone seeking more peace, more calm, and, perhaps, a little more everyday magic in their lives, the simple exercises in this book are so helpful. Highly, highly recommend.

    The Perfect Guide
    This was the perfect way to kick-start a mindfulness practice. Ashley has a wonderful sense of humor and brings a sense of infinite possibility to the process, which is both easily accessible and comprehensive. It has become my first recommendation to anyone interested in a mindfulness practice.

    Received book, perfectly packed, with a bent cover.
    I received this book in a package with several other books. All of the books were perfectly packed and none of the others were damaged, yet this book had an obvious crease on the cover. It obviously was already damaged when packed, even though this was supposed to be a new book.
